Carbs are not fattening.

Do not feel guilty to eat a banana, potato, rice, mangoes, grapes, chinooks and wheat. They are loaded with healthy, nutritious and energy giving qualities.  Alternatives for the real and natural things contain artificial preservatives, permitted colourings, salts and added calcium, iron etc. junk can never be high on nutritional value.

Any junk food purchased in the market with labels like zero carbs, zero fat etc are in fact deceitful. They even do not satisfy your spiritual, physical and emotional well-being. We tend to become dull and boring when we try to keep a check on our taste buds every time. Eating only lentils and veggies without rice/roti for any Indian would be like a punishment and not filling.

If you remove all essential nutrients like minerals and enzymes from your food or say from your carbs they become junk and yes junk is fattening. When you eat your fruit without cutting and without adding things like salt etc they are nutritious. Similarly drinking water is not equivalent to drinking any aerated drinks for that matter. So food that god has given should be cooked and eaten in the right manner and then it will not be harming your system. If you cook in a wrong way, eat them in a wrong way and in the wrong time it's always harmful.

All the lifestyle disorders, inconsistent blood pressure and blood sugar levels, sleeplessness, skin disorders, infertility, constipation etc are a result of the myths people have developed these days and avoiding the essential carbs and essential fats.

Our food represents our genes and our culture. Our bodies are devised in such a way. A South Indian can eat idli, dosa every day without any problem, a punjabi can eat choke, rajma and so does a Bengali or Maharashtrian eat fish without any indigestion and other sorts of problem. Stick to ur genes at least one meal a day and it will satisfy your inner self.

Exercise is vital. You cannot starve yourself and compensate your weakness by not exercising. At least 30-40 mins of brisk walk and a healthy and complete diet  will do the needful. Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water and keep yourself hydrated.simple and easy things need to be followed for a healthy living. Rather than avoiding carbs avoid junk. Learn to choose and differentiate between healthy carbs and junk. Carbs are our friends.

Practicing yoga

According to Oxford English Dictionary committee, the most used word is "time" in English Language. Yes, we spend time, watch time, manage time, lose time and even kill time and most of us say we are trying to save time. We sometimes feel 24 hours a day is not sufficient. In this modern world we try giving more emphasis on efficiency, that is, how quick and well can a work be done. So let's find some time for some quick and effective ways to relax, too. Yoga, although considered to last for hours, it is also possible to feel the benefits in minutes.

The joy of yoga.
Yoga strengthens, lengthens, limbers and loosens our bodies, energies, calms, focuses and purifies our minds. It builds stamina and suppleness in our muscles, tendons and ligaments. Yoga postures combined with breathing and meditation are the ideal ones. Even household duties such as washing dishes, vacuuming, ironing, cooking and cleaning makes us slump. Yoga postures are incredibly helpful for people whose daily tasks negatively affect their posture. When each day looks like a series of slouchy forward bends, our bodies actually yearn for such side stretches, twists and back ends, and they rejoice and sing when we practice yoga.

Yoga brings a fresh awareness if we have lost touch with our physical selves. The wholesome discipline of yoga just makes life feel better and easier. It is a reward in itself. Yoga touches our minds, bodies and souls, reuniting body, breath, mind, emotions and spirit. Inner peace comes as you relax into a sense of wholeness. It's like a long sigh out as you sink back in a warm bath after a long tiring day. It is a state of mind. While the physical postures of yoga were developed to keep our bodies fit, breathing and meditative practices like pranayama were honed to guide our minds. Rather than just seeking to touch your toes, remind yourself that practicing yoga is also about touching your own heart.

Crash diets

What is a crash diet? It's just nothing but nutritional deprevation which restricts calorie intake. Severe starvation or any rapid weight loss diet programme is not permanent. It will just last for few weeks. Lack of proper nutrition would actually cause many health issues. Staying lean dies not mean staying fit.
It's just a commercial business and nothing more where diet doctors or experts promise spot weight reduction and propose such crash diets. Once you lose your bone density you start developing many other health problems like joint pains, back pain etc. crash diets deprive you of proper nutrition intake and is against the law of nature. How could you live on some protein shakes and vitamin tablets and other suppliments and not eat what the nature has given you? God has created each type of food which is full ofgiid qualities. There is no good food or bad food. It is we that cook them the wrong way and consume them in the wrong times and in wrong quantities and make the food bad for our health.
Eating right is more important than not eating. We should be commited to feed ourselves in a right way and exercise daily to keep ourselves in good shape and good health. It's a simple theory. It is just that we look the way, the way we eat. If we eat fresh fruits and vegetable we look calm and beautiful and if we eat junk food, we look bad.
Our skin and hair conditions greatly depend on our diet. Crash diets not only hamper our bone density but also affect our skin and hair fall. Regular oiling is not the only nutrition that our hair needs.
Thus, it is always recommended that you go for long lasting diets that provide the appropriate amount of nutritional intake in the right quantities rather than starve yourself in the name of crash diets.

Fasting for god or for weight loss

In age old days fasting was a spiritual practice and was devoted to some named god on special days. Nowadays, fasting is more likely means of loosing weight. It's like a means of rest to the digestive system but have you ever thought of giving rest to your respiratory system or nervous system. Similarly digestive system plays a vital role and cannot be put on rest.

For your digestive system to be working fine one should eat a little at a time. Now how do you know how much one should eat. It's said that about a fist size would be more than enough for a single meal. Somehow it may vary from person to person. Eating a little at a time and by dividing one large meal into smaller ones will enhance your digestive system and boost your metabolism.

Why kids are healthier than us because they eat a little at a time. They eat only e amount that is required to fulfil their hunger at that point of time and they stay active and fit. We should learn from kids rather than spoiling their habit by over feeding them and thus spoiling their eating habits too. Over eating is one bad habit which will increase every day and will be difficult to correct in the long run just like smoking. Taking carbs in the right quantity in the right time is very essential for the proper working of your digestive system. Over intake of carbs is also kind of addiction.

So wake up friends who have a misconception of eating only two large meals n staying hungry all the time and think you will loose weight. One cannot follow a diet which will make you sick and depressed. A diet plan which keeps you energetic all time and makes you satisfied and happy and which you can follow throughout your life is the best diet plan. So chose one wisely. Like smoking is injurious to health so is over eating dear friends.
